Clinical Director & Therapist

It's time to prioritize your wellness. Your Mental Health matters! My focus is helping you co-create your best self: mentally, emotionally and physically. I will help you tap into your unique potential and develop an individualized service plan for a WELL LIFE. I work with you to encapsulate goals, image and self into a touchstone,in order to guide your future. This means introspection and careful work to identify and regain control of problem areas in your life, with the use of evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual.

I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Positive Psychotherapy. CBT treats problems and boosts happiness by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. PPT addresses strengths, resources, values and hopes in addition to symptoms, weaknesses, risks and regrets, for a more balanced understanding of the human experience.

I am a TBRI® Practitioner-TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. The heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

I believe that in therapy it is important to create a safe space for every client. I believe that one of the most important facets of therapy is meeting the client where they are and not where I think they should be. This means valuing the therapeutic alliance and allowing each client to take part in their therapy. The key is to involve clients at their own pace (unless medically ill-advised) to formulate their own plan of action for treatment.

My approach to each client is to help co-create his or her best self: mentally, emotionally and physically. I assist clients to tap into their unique potential and develop an individualized service plan for a well life.

My clients can expect a therapeutic alliance that will bring about change. In each session, my client(s) can expect honesty, empathy, support and empowerment. I will empower you (the client)  with ways to deal with life issues, learn the triggers for your depression, and build resiliency, so you can find well-being. Clients can expect to me to assist them with setting realistic goals.  Setting realistic goals can make psychotherapy a winning experience. Change does not happen overnight. Nor does the development of insight. Hardest of all is replacing old behaviors with new ones. It takes time.

Licensed Professional Counselor

Whether you’re experiencing distress or conflict within your life, experiencing professional changes, having difficulty coping with the loss of a loved one, experiencing a transitional phase in your life, or etc. through a positive therapeutic process growth can occur. Through an empathetic and safe environment, the therapeutic process can assist you in creating your optimal life.

I’m trained in Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Positive Psychology assists individuals in changing negative thought patterns by focusing on strengths to obtain a positive mindset. The goal of CBT is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people’s difficulties and thus the way they feel.

With a certification in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling I am trained to assist couples and families with resolving conflicts, building healthier interpersonal relationships, and fostering more effective ways of communication. A family perspective lens allows the therapist to understand the family dynamic, family roles, and help the unit address issues they are facing.

My goal is to collaborate with the client(s) in order to achieve mental, emotional, spiritual, and/or physical growth. In doing so it allows for the client to heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. Together we will collaborate to develop a therapeutic treatment plan to meet the client(s) individual needs.

In sessions, I assist clients in processing their experiences, emotions, or behaviors. With positive support, acceptance, and understanding client’s gain awareness, overcome obstacles, gain new perspective, and build resiliency. Clients can expect me to provide resources and skills to assist them on their journey. Along the journey my clients can expect me to assist them in navigating challenges, replacing negative patterns, and helping them assess their fears. They can also expect me to celebrate their accomplishments as they strive to fulfill their goals.
